reply to SherrBerry:---No, I don't think I have ever heard that name before, am I supposed to know him? Who is he, maybe I do know of him but not remembering, Tell me a little about him if you will, the first name Alonzo sounds a tad familiar but nothing I can pin down. I also wanted to ask you how Justins appetite is, does he eat or crave lots of fatty foods or comfort foods? Sincerely sheshe030

comment to SherryBerry:---Well sweetie your so "dad gum" sweet yourself. I forgot to ask, is Justin still on dialysis and if so how is he coping with it? I don't have to ask how you are coping because I know. You doing everything humanly possible to keep him with you as long as possible and you don;t notice how exhausted and worn out you have become because you know you will have time later for that but right now you will move heaven and earth for your son and no matter how impossible the task you just "do it" without one complaint. You are my hero and the day will come when you too will relate to another mom using these same heart felt words. Keep on keepin on my friend. sheshe030

Hi Sheshe, I know its been a while since ive been online.. Justin is doing dialysis 3 times a week now... Its an hour and half drive there, then 5 hours on a machine and then another hour and half home... I wish I had a laptop so I could be online while there, because I miss all of my friends...Plus Justins heart isnt doing well now as well... This disease is just slowly taring away at him...

We have both been so depressed, I feel Justin is tired of fighting and im scarred of losing him.... I miss you friend... Love ya, Sherry

Hi SheShe and Rosie... When Justin was first diagnosed almost 3 years ago Make a Wish sent him on a shopping spree... At that point in time he was not in End Stage Renal Failure and he never dreamed he would be where he is with his health is now.. Therefore he just wanted to have those cool clothes and shoes all the other kids had that I wasnt able to do for him.. He said now he wished he had of thought it through more... He loves Basketball and loves Hip Hop/Rap Music.... lol... He is free from dialysis on Sat and Sun and Tuesdays.. Hes in dialysis Mon Wed and Fridays.... THank you both for caring.

Comment to SherryBerry---I just had a thought and I can't remember if I have talked to you about this or not but have you contacted the Make a Wish foundation? They helped my son to go to Germany for a week. They are a wonderful organization and I read what Rosie327 said about your son never getting to see a concert. It sure wouldn't hurt to contact them and tell them your story, if there is any way they can do something for him I know they will do it. Is he able to travel for any length of time?Who are his favorite group or band? I agree with Rosie327 about trying free cycle--The are all local so if you have one it will be within driving distance for either you to pick up or they will deliver what ever you request. There is never any money exchanged and you will probably end up with more than you need, at least that has been my experience with them. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know. Sincerely Sheshe030

Hi, Sherryberrys - I read your post about needing clothes for your son. You can try the free section of Craig's List and also the freecycle site.  You can also post your needs there.  I'm happy to help you brainstorm some fun ideas for your son - I saw you wrote that he's never been to a concert.  Maybe a band he likes has made a concert film?  You can rearrange the furniture and invite some of his friends over to make it more of an "event."  We're all here to help in any way we can!  Best wishes, Rosie

I feel your pain.  My 34 year daughter has been diagnosed with CNS, Lupus that attacks your brain.  Her disabilty is so severe whe was granted SSID in only 18 months.  On ongoing prognosis is not good.  She is probably about as good as she's ever going to be, it's all down hill from here.

Yet, I will not give up.  She is smart, she is strong, she has the desire to be here for her family, her daughter.  She WILL be a survivor, a "poster child" for all that need to survive this disease.  She will raise her daughter, our grandchild, teach her about love, family, food, and everything else that is important in life.  I believe, you cannot convince me, or other parents, we cannot believe. Believe in the ultimate miracle, whether religose or medical.  We know it's around the corner.

Stand fast, fight the good fight, you are not alone!

Thank you sheshe... Well today has not been a good day, he has been very ill.. He has no appetite and cant eat. He takes 24 to 26 pills a day, so im sure that doesnt help matters.. He is very depressed, but who wouldnt be..

I spend a lot of time watching him sleep, wondering what he must be going through mentally and emotionally.. I know what I go through as a mother and its pure hell... So, it has to be the same for him I suppose..

I am still searching for things I can do that would brighten his day... Some memories for him that are positive.... You know he is 18 and never been to a concert.... Little things like that eat me up as a parent.  He has lost a lot of weight 70 pounds in 6 months and needs some clothes that fit him... Im financially not able to get him new ones right now.. It makes me feel like a horrible mom...

I will give him that hug and let him know your praying for him.  Thank you so much..

          Lots of hugs,

          Sherry
